Hi, welcome to the Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War EM2 assault rifle weapon guide! The EM2 is unlocked through the Season 5 Battle Pass at level 15. It is a well rounded assault rifle that has a fairly low fire rate and an inbuilt sight. We’ll first talk about tactics to best take advantage of the EM2 and then we’ll discuss weapon attachments and perks.
First, let’s discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the EM2. It is good at medium to long range due to its relatively low recoil and good damage. At close range you will be at a significant disadvantage due to the low mobility of the EM2 compared to most submachine guns. You will also need an advantage over enemies, such as already being aimed down the sights and being ready for them to come, to overcome the relatively slow aim down sight time and low strafe speed of the EM2. It is best to find a spot on the map that overlooks a busy traffic area, preferable where enemies are out in the open and vulnerable.
Moving onto the best attachments for the EM2, I found that the EM2 needed many attachments to help it overcome its weaknesses. Therefore, I used the Gunfighter Wildcard to be able to pick 8 attachments. I’ll go through each one now, starting with the optic for which I picked the Microflex LED as a personal preference, feel free to pick your favourite, and the Tiger Team Spotlight body attachment which marks enemies with a red dot helping you spot them. The Airborne Elastic Wrap reduces the aim down sight time and protects you from flinching, so that you can win fights where you are behind more easily. I found that at medium to long range it was possible to reliably go for headshots when using attachments that help reduce the recoil of the EM2. The Infantry Compensator muzzle and Field Agent Grip underbarrel attachments reduce both the vertical and horizontal recoil significantly. To help make the EM2 more powerful, the 25.8” Task Force barrel increases the damage, effective damage range and bullet velocity of the EM2, making it easier to take on enemies at medium and long range. To help boost your mobility somewhat, the SAS Combat Stock increases the shoot move speed and aim walking speed so that you can strafe a little more effectively. Finally, the Salvo 30 Rnd Fast Mag increases the ammo capacity and reload quickness. With it you don’t have to reload after every kill, but whenever you find a break in the fighting it is still important to replenish your ammo.
Now, let’s discuss the best perks for the EM2. I’m torn between Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask. Whenever I use one, I miss the other. Pick whichever one you prefer to help protect you from enemies trying to flush you out of your position. For the second perk pick Quartermaster along with the Stimshot equipment to help recharge your healing after a competitive fight. Finally, similar to the first perk slot, pick whichever of Ninja or Ghost you prefer. I tend to go with Ninja because I know how easy it is to hear footsteps and prepare to take out an enemy with the big advantage of knowing where they are coming from.
In summary, the EM2 is a strong assault rifle which you will need to use to hold down a position due to its relatively low mobility. Here are all the attachments

Hi, welcome to the Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War AK-74u submachine gun weapon guide! First, let’s start with an overview. The AK-74u is a powerful submachine gun well suited to sustained aggression. We will build a class around that theme and I’ll weave in tactics along the way.
Given we will be aiming for sustained aggression, when you are expecting to be close to enemies, it is important that you don’t give away your position to nearby enemies during a fight. Use the sound suppressor so that you don’t show up on the mini map whilst firing. To counter the reduced weapon damage range, use the 10.3” Task Force barrel attachment that boosts your damage and effective damage range, as well as increase the bullet velocity making enemies easier to hit. It does come at a cost of lower starting ammo as well as increased recoil. The recoil can be controlled using the Spetsnaz Grip and the VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag will increase your reloading speed, magazine capacity and ammo reserves.
The relatively high recoil means that you are at a disadvantage when enemies are behind cover or at longer ranges. Be sure to avoid such engagements by avoiding longer sight lines and positions with good cover where you are expecting enemies. To ensure you don’t give your position away with your footsteps as you move, use the Ninja perk. The Tactical Mask perk keeps you safe from enemy gas grenades, so you don’t have to worry about being caught in enemy traps, as well as protecting you from flashbangs and stun grenades.
Your knowledge of spawn locations as well as the mini map will help you with anticipate where enemies are. However, even with the best information, you will be surprised by enemies as you get close to them. Use the GRU Elastic Wrap for faster aim down sight time as well as reducing flinching so that you don’t miss your target whilst under fire. This will require using the Gunfighter wildcard to unlock more attachments. The KGB Skeletal Stock will also ensure you are ready for enemies faster if you are caught sprinting. To help you recover faster, use the Quartermaster perk to recharge your stimshot tactical equipment faster.
The Gunfighter wildcard gives you some more options where you can pick attachments based on your play style. For example, I find it useful to use the Mounted Flashlight body attachment so that enemies have a red dot above them, making them easier to spot. I prefer not to use an optic myself, but you can pick one if it helps you.
As always, pick your favourite secondary, lethal equipment and field upgrade!

Hi, welcome to the Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War QBZ-83 assault rifle weapon guide! I will first give you an overview of the weapon and then discuss tactics and where the QBZ-83 is strongest. Throughout the video I will weave in the recommended class setup which I will show you in full at the end.
Starting with an overview, the QBZ-83 is a mid-game assault rifle that has a high fire rate and is easy to control. You can be aggressive with the QBZ-83 thanks to its quick handling. To support the aggression, use the stimshot tactical equipment to heal up between enemy encounters, combined with the Quartermaster perk so that it recharges faster, and the SAS Mag Clamp magazine attachment for faster reloads and more starting ammo. The Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask perks will protect you from enemy equipment that you will likely encounter, requiring the use of the Perk Greed wildcard. Use the Ninja perk so that your footsteps don’t reveal your location whilst advancing. You do need to be careful of enemies with submachine guns who have a distinct advantage over you in close quarters if you are not in cover.
Moving on to tactics, I will break this section into first the kind of engagements the QBZ-83 is best for, then how to find those engagements, followed by how to win the fights you get into and lastly what to do in case you find yourself in a fight at a disadvantage.
Firstly, the fights the QBZ-83 is best at is in close quarters where you have at least some cover to use to defend against the superior firepower of submachine guns. To ensure that you stay on target during those fights, use the Foregrip under barrel attachment.
Moving on to the best way to find these engagements, keep an eye on the mini map to gauge where enemies are likely going to come from and get ready for them to arrive in high traffic areas, such as objectives. To ensure that you can react quickly in those fights, use the Airborne Elastic Wrap handle attachment to speed up your aim down sight time and reduce flinching, ensuring that you stay on target even if you are being fired upon. The Ghost perk will ensure that enemies can’t find you with spy plane score streaks.
Transitioning to how to win these fights, the advantage you have is that you are prepared for enemies and have cover. To make yourself even harder to hit, be sure to keep moving left and right whilst firing, with which the Raider Stock attachment will help you by boosting your aim walking movement speed. Taking scorestreaks that reveal enemies, such as the spy plane, can make it easier for you to anticipate where enemies come from.
Finally, on the topic of engagements where you are at a disadvantage, in case you encounter enemies at long range, take the 15.5” Reinforced Heavy barrel which increases the effective damage range keeping you competitive at longer ranges. If you encounter snipers or enemies entrenched behind cover, it is often better to find another way to get closer to them where they are not ready for you. If you encounter enemies at close range, a good secondary, such as a shotgun, can be quite helpful to give you the edge.
Fill your final perk slot with something you find helpful, in my case I often ran out of ammo so I took scavenger to be able to resupply from fallen enemies and take your favourite lethal equipment and field upgrade.
There you have it. The QBZ-83 will help you hold down objectives and other positions that are close to enemies. Here are all the weapon attachments and here is the complete recommended class setup for the QBZ-83 assault rifle.
