Welcome To Girls Who Run Ireland
This program was designed to provide a toolkit for young girls to weather the turbulent teen years so that they can feel free to express who they are - All of their fears, frustrations, anger and to allow them to communicate their perfect spirit and Queen to the world.
Welcome To Girls Who Run Ireland
The program was designed to reach girls from all social economic and ethnic groups. Confident as well as shy girls will benefit from the program, girls who’s self esteem and self worth need a boost will thrive. We achieve this by teaching girls not to expect approval from others but to accept themselves and their own self worth.
At Girls Who Run Ireland we teach self respect, respect for ones self, self discipline humility, honesty, values and acceptance. We provide a toolkit for young girls that will assist them navigating the turbulent teen years. The program is designed to combine a holistic active wellbeing camp for young girls with lessons that teach actual life skills. We challenge the girls by asking them to ask themselves -Why am I polite? Because I have value and respect for others. Why do I exercise? Because I have self respect. First we learn to love ourselves and love our strengths. The only person whom we have control over is ourselves. We have no control over other people, places and things but we do have control over how we perceive them.

Here’s what some of the parents and kids have to say about our fantastic program.
This camp is awesome. I made lots of friends and learned a lot about myself. I LOVE MY TSHIRT. The best part is realising I am beautiful just the way I am, no need to change, I just need to be myself, a QUEEN.
SARAH BYRNE
, – AGE 9 {Queen}My daughter loved the camp. This is a very inclusive camp a group of girls who support, motivate and encourage each other. Lots of tips, resources and challenges in the booklet my daughter brought home. It was great seeing how her week went we will definitely try the recipes at home and yoga moves along with the mindful meditation. This camp has it ALL! Thank you for bringing this much needed camp to life!
JENNIFER LAWLESS
, ~PARENTI LOVE THIS CAMP. Thanks Tara and Lisa for helping me to release the Queen inside of me. I learned to skip like really skip, as part of a TEAM not alone. I loved our group skipping sessions and calling in the other queens in my group. Skipping together is much more fun.
CHLOE HARRIS
, ~Age 11 {QUEEN}WOW. Where to start… This camp should be in every community in every county in Ireland. A fun camp just for girls. My daughter is much more relaxed, practices mindfulness herself and made lots of friends or as she like to call them “Queens”. This camp is a breath of fresh air for young girls. A bit of everything, loved the toolkit my other children are benefiting from that camp take away. Thank you Tara & Lisa, amazing program, see you for the Saturday morning workshop.
CAROLINE O’TOOLE
, - PARENTThe change in my daughter after attending the camp is powerful. She no longer walks with her head down, she walks tall. She’s no longer the pessimist, now an optimist. She speaks positively about herself and now has a “can do attitude”. What did you do with my daughter? How is it possible in 5 days that these changes have occurred? My daughter now fully accepts herself, faults and all. She celebrates her uniqueness and accepts her failures. A miracle. Is there any camps for adults?
AMANDA HEALY
My daughter is very shy and reserved. This camp did wonders for her self esteem, self worth and self belief. The toolkit booklet at the end of the week is an excellent addition. When camp finishes my daughter still has the tools she learned to help her navigate her surroundings. Excellent program, it should be in every primary school in the country. Thank you Tara and Lisa this has been an amazing journey of self discovery for our daughter. Any spare t-shirts for adults?
